先生曰：「凡朋友问难，纵有浅近粗疏，或露才扬己，皆是病发。当因其病而药之可也，不可便怀鄙薄之心，非君子与人为善之心矣。」
先生说：「凡是朋友来问难，纵然浅近粗疏，或者露才扬己，都是病发。应当针对他的病下药就是，不可便怀鄙薄之心，那就不是君子与人为善的心了。」
The Master said: 'When friends raise questions — shallow or coarse they may be, showing off perhaps — it is an illness showing. Dose the illness; do not harbor contempt, which is not the noble heart that works good with others.'
